Everyone happily stayed at home because of the traffic-choking flood. I happily snuck under the blankets and slept for hoursss. Then I heard of the news: A Form 6 girl was swept away by the floods, and the same happened to a man who tried to save her.

Then I realised that I knew the girl. She wasn't my friend, but I knew of her,and I know her bro. My only memory of her was her chatting happily with her friends at the school bus stop. Isn't life short? I really can't imagine all that her family has to go through.

I guess..everything that happens is God's will and He knows what He's doing..

No Christmas mood and New Year Eve Countdown mood this year.

Did a few seconds of reflection on 2011..I was thinking, this year hasn't been anything great.

Then it suddenly hit me.

This year, I have been healthy, eating enough (..too much), having an awesome shelter(cuz lots of people don't even have homes), living in a country with freedom of religion, no war(not too bad,just in the parliament), no disaster, having GREAT friends around, having a great family(ohhhh mum's cooking), always been having a great time at school(oh all the laughter,not forgetting all the great teachers!),....and a lot more things I'm just too..ignorant to remember.........

I suddenly felt so sick of myself. How could I be so ungrateful and not content with SO MUCH that I have? I don't have enough, I have more than enough! God has abundantly blessed me, and yet I could let very very small matters bother me (like the 2 fish mum just bought o.o)

*sigh* Just wanna thank alllllllll my friends and my fam. Don't really think they'll read this though. I'll just treat this as a little reflection and renewal of the mind. *sighhhhh*

Generally, the dream was vague, but I could remember LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of confetti in the sky. Rainbow coloured. The whole sky was practically covered with confetti that I can't see any sky. All I saw was confetti. Somehow it reminds me of the Nyan cat.

I was the person who sent "long and meaningful texts"..just a few days ago. I like receiving and sending loooong sms-es cuz I think they're very sincere (i don't even know whether i should use past or present tense now, i still like long texts:( ) But recently realised it's kind of a waste of money cuz I never liked to type/read short forms + my sms rate is around RM0.10/per sms, which is not very cheap compared to people who have those sms packages and plans. And I'm OBSESSED with spacing after commas and full stops. Like this. Nice and proper.bt nw i hv 2 typ lik dis. *sigh*

There are 2 Malaysian senarios I love:
1. Giving way to the ambulance on the road. It makes Malaysians seem very civilized.
2. Flashing headlights to another car coming the opposite direction as a signal that there are police around the corner.

WHY! WHY! Why do I remember saying "time flies" in every end-of-the-year post!?

I don't like time when it flies. :(

This year was supposed to be slow..to let me relax a little after PMR and before SPM, to let me transit from little girl to big girl, but now BAM! And another year is over. 16 is almost over.

Nooo, I don't wanna be a little girl trapped in a 16 year old body! Noooo! Must. Grow. Upppppp. Usually people think of me as "mature", ahh, but people don't know me. The crazy meeeeeeeee who doesn't know what she wants, doesn't know what to blog about, and now I'm just typing without much thought because this blog's been stagnant for so long. Blogging for the sake of blogging. *sigh* why is this happening. Blogging is supposed to be a very "beneficial,fruitful,positive" activity. I was once the person who blogged constantly,..once a week. Why do people, including me, stop blogging like we used to? Because we all have our own lives and blogging becomes something very..redundant since no one really reads blogs nowadays? Who are we blogging for? Ourselves?

Seriously not pumped up for holidays. I secretly wish that we had more days at school. At least we get to talk all day with our friends. I like holidays, but I don't wanna spend my holidays doing nothing. Waste them away. I need something REALLY good to do during the holidays.

I really hate the spirit of arrogance and jealousy in me. :(

God has been protecting me and my family all the years. Never been involved in any serious accident. For the past few weeks, God showed to my family that He watches over us and protects us :)

On the way back to Sibu during the holidays, there was a sort-of-freak car accident in front of us on the road. 3 cars. Smashed front. Skidded. In the drain. Have you heard of how people deliberately pour oil on the road to make cars skid? o.o Anyway when my dad reached that point, the natural reaction was to slow down. Even when the car's slow, you could still feel the car skid just a little (according to my mum lah, i was sleeping like a pig). Seriously, if we did not see that car accident that happened before we came, I might not even be typing this post leh.

Then after Raya visiting, a car rammed into our car. Elene and I who were in the backseat, we weren't even wearing seatbelts. Could feel the impact. We were part of Ops Sikap 24! Hahahahhahahaha. Really thank God for His protection :)

Just a week after holiday, and teacher tells us that we have exams coming up. Pffft. Time isn't too fast. We're just too slow. I seriously seriously seriously seriously wanna rewind time. Very, very serious. I feel like my mind is not maturing fast enough :( Feeling a little insecure. Scared. Of the future. So better start using my time REALLY wisely now.

I just found out we only have 1.

Since I'm the new secretary of the prefects' board, been feeling a little panicky. *gulp*

Suddenly I have to think of agendas, and take care of the hardboards and do something bout the Prefects' notice board (luckily merilyn and yuan hui is with me on this one -___-).

2011. I'm going to be SIXTEEN THIS YEARRRRR!

Unlike people who go "YAY IMMA GOIN TO BE SIXTEEN YAI SWEET SIXTEEN"

I'm so NOT happy that I'm going to be 16. That means I become a year older, I get nearer to Form 5, which means I get nearer to SPM, which means I'm getting nearer to having the risk of getting NS (NONONO!), which means I'll have to choose a course to study, which means I can't sit at home and watch TV and walk around like a primary school kid, which means I'll.....grow up.

Grow up.

That is one SCARY word now. Eh..two scary words. Erm ONE scary phrase.

I don't want to grow up. Saya tak mahu membesar (uhhh that just sounded a bit wrong..)

GAH. When you get older, you always want to go back to kindy times when studying was as easy as ABC, literally. But when you GET older,..you CAN'T get back! How I wish we can REALLY go back? Of course we can't duh! But if we could REALLY go back to those times...that would be really really really cool. Really cool. WOW SUPER COOL

But we can't. So we'll just have to live on. :( And try not to go to sleep thinking how much we've wasted our time today. Facebook GAH I hate facebook cuz I'm always there GAH GAH GAH

The thought of...."choosing a course"

Ahem, hmmm...pharmacist, nursing, teaching, law, med, dentistry..why do I sound so old? I feel like my..brain isn't mature enough to even THINK about pharmacist, nursing, teaching, law, med, dentistry,selling tau-hu-hua at markets. I feel like my brain is still a kid. o.o......

Erm....what did I wanna say...oh well forget about it.

Oh ya.

Since I wanted to get my mind off Facebook, I wrote a list of things I wanted to do during holidays, which included really *weird* stuff like
Googling
1. Who invented the scissors
2. Who invented the bicycle
3. Ok so since I wanted to know so many inventors, I just searched a LIST OF INVENTORS and went on "Open in New Tab""Open in New Tab""Open in New Tab""Open in New Tab""Open in New Tab"

Then I realised, wow, without them, our world today would be very different. I read about inventors of
1.contact lenses
2. radio (too lazy to read all the complicated stuff
3. plastic surgery (was kinda cool)
4. ballpoint pen. This person is AWESOME. Ballpoint pens are AMAZING right! Imagine a world without ballpoint pens!
5. Non-reflective glass. Didn't read about this, but I really wonder HOW they invent stuff like this...*applause*
6. The bicycle (dandy horse). This person is awesome too. Like my dad says, "Who would've thought we can balance on TWO vertically aligned wheels?"
7. Sthethoscope.

Lemme talk about the Sthethoscope. Invented by René Laennec. The sthethoscope is used in diagnosing various chest conditions, in case you don't know. Guess how René Laennec died? Tuberculosis (google that too, if you don't know, cuz I didn't too hahaha) Oh the irony.

4. Oh and then I also googled about whether blood transfusions change one's personality. Google gave me really crazy and illogic answers (break record!) so I asked Ray. He said no.

Dunno lah, my mum's friend once told her that his personality kind of changed after blood transfusion :\
And my mum's friend was diagnosed with ~~talesimia~~ thalassemia, after a blood transfusion (blood obtained from people from blood donations lo). Erm I'm not very sure about the credibility of this info..so.

5. Youtubed some dance videos.

That was REALLY cool. Fast forward to 0:37 (the front part isn't important)
I think dancing can be really cool. Seems really interesting. But some weird butt-shaking from K-pop groups not very cool lah..hahahaha. Hey watch that video from 0:37! Really cool one! And check out Poreotics too.

6. Then I youtubed 张栋梁. Doesn't attract me :\

7. Ermmm youtubed How To Play Piano Chords, but I feel like all the tutorials aren't very good, for some reason. Probably the poor video quality is annoying me. And how slooooow...the people talk..

8. Also searched for some photography tips. I wanna try light painting when Ajia comes back! :D

I...wanna learn how to play the guitar, but I got no guitar, and I don't wanna buy a guitar and end up not playing it any more, so I'm just going to sit here thinking "I wanna learn the guitar"...

A lizard egg had been lying in the laundry sink for a loooong looooong time so my mum assumed that it won't hatch. So one day my mum dropped the egg to the ground to show me what a rotten egg looks like. *lol the randomness and curiosity* xD

AND THEN AND THEN

I was waiting to see some rotten muddy sticky liquid oozing out from the egg.

Then I saw a tail sticking out.

So I squatted there for a very,very,very long time to wait for it hatch. (the neighbours must have been watching me o.o) But then the sweet scent of the premature lizard must've attracted evil ants.

I really really wanted the lizard to live...kinda weird cuz lizards are sort of the biggest enemy in my house. But I really really wanted the lizard to live cuz...I dunno, guilt?(my mum threw it to the ground thinking it was rotten what) And to see where it'd go after it hatches. Born without a mother, how sad :(

Ok anyways

I used weeds to chase away the ants and to tickle the premature lizard(GET MOVIN LIZARD) but the lizard seemed really LAZY to get out of the shell. It was feeling "at home" in the shell GAH stupid lizard

size of the premature lizard!

I think I tried to chase away the ants LOTS of times to stop them from carrying the lizard away, but they kept coming back and the lizard was STILL in the shell. So finally...

I didn't stop the ants when they came back for the probably 5th time.

so there ends the life of a premature lizard..

This incident kinda reminded me of life. Sometimes we are so complacent, so lazy to get out of our shell, we just wanna stay where we are. And sometimes God comes and tickles us with a weed, we still stay put in our shell.But one day when our life on earth ends..you'll get carried away by ants..

This message also applies to myself.

Water is amazing.

Yes, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

I realised how beautiful and..graceful water is. And the pictures show the different varieties that water has. It isn't fixed, it changes with every click of the shutter. Ahhh it brings lots of surprises!

I took quite a lot of pictures a few days ago. The basin was in the sink, collecting water from the water dispenser's filter-excretion-thing (Elken users I think you know this). Looking at the water flow is just so tempting cuz I keep imagining the great pictures that can be taken!

So I went from studying Sejarah to taking pictures of H2O. Ha. Ha. Ha.

This is a late post, the state election was over on 16th April, but this time the election fever sure was hottttt. Reach boiling point leh. My mum told me not to touch on politics in my blog, so I won't say anything. But I'm sure smart Malaysians know what politics in Malaysia is like.

Today was a reaaaally fun day and school cuz we had a DAP v.s BN debate in Chemistry Lab. Even Mr. Yeo came over to listen what we were talking about hahahahaha!

Me: Paaaaaa CHILD ABUSE! T^T (errr I meant language abuse)

I can't catch up with Physics and Chem, and there's no one to teach me so I dunno what to do. I'm reading "hush,hush". Interesting book :D And it's distracting me from studying.

Gah gah gah exams coming! I implemented the Facebook Ban on myself again and I get the satisfaction of yay-i-didn't-go-on-facebook. Wheeeee

Telematch in Da Kuching Town

Had a fun, tiring time at SMK Kuching Town.

Hahhaha what a nice way to start off the hols.

We played station games :D

2nd station was awesome. We got blindfolded and had to put our hands into a mysterious box and you know they always put yucky stuff in there. This time it was worms. We had to find some hard button thingies in the box. At first I thought it was just sand with 3 or 4 worms in there, I DIDN'T KNOW the whole box was full of worms. Hundreds of them. The process was full of "AAAAAAAH!"s, but I feel a great sense of accomplishment. Heeheeheee. I PUT MY HANDS INTO A BOX OF WORMS HOW COOL IS THAT :D

Then my team members had to drink Coke+Shandy+Green Tea+Bits of choc+Bits of biscuits. Didn't try this one, but they said it tasted great. Hahahah fail/win?

Then we had to hold ping pong balls in between chopsticks and crawl below tables.

And we had to burst balloons.

And burst more balloons.

And even more balloons. (I wonder how they're going to clean up the place o.o)

My team didn't win, but we all had a great time.

Woohoo! Now...what to do tomorrow hmmmm.

Got no better title to put so March Hols kinda sums it up, or, starts it up cuz today is the first day of the holiday week :D

Aaaah..the times when plasma membrane was merely a cell membrane and not some phospholipid bilayer with polar heads and non-polar tails and carrier proteins and pore proteins and cholestrol and bla bla bla..the textbook even needs to start a whole new chapter just explaining allllllllll of the details of the very,very, thinner than paper-thin membrane.

Aaah...the times. But I think it's kinda cool that we are really LEARNING something from school, like LEARNING about science and the history of Rome and Egypt and Mesopotamia so haha, forget about the rant just now then.

Add Maths seems fun ONLY WHEN you finish answering a "complicated" question with the correct answer. Aaaah..the satisfaction.

Did I mention before that I quit drums already? Loser right. It's one of the three-minute-hotness(chinese proverb, if you don't know :P)moments.At first I was hyped about it cuz I thought maybe I could play drums as a way to serve God at church IF I can really end up playing well, but now..bleh. *sigh* My excuse is that I don't have a drum set at home so I can't practise and in this case I can't improve without practising so I quit. Is that a good excuse? And I'm not committed enough to buy a drum set.

..now I feel like learning the guitar. But I don't have a guitar at home (the last one got stolen) so I'll have to be committed enough to buy one, unless, hey can someone lend me/give me/ sell me your guitar?

Found myself going onto Facebook lots of times again, reading statuses I've read dozens of times on the News Feed. So today I banned myself from Facebook again. Whee for me.

An earthquake of 8.9 magnitude hit Japan on the 11th, killing 1300 so far. Only during these moments, we see lots of statuses like "prayers and thoughts go to Japan" "pray pray pray for Japan!" "please pray for JapanT^T"

When I stop and pray for them, I wonder :"How do I pray for them?"

Am I supposed to pray "Lord, please save everyone so none of them will die"? "Lord, please stop all these disasters from happening and make our earth disaster-free"? "Lord please raise the people from the dead"?

If God were to stop all those earthquakes, tsunamis and tornadoes, He would have stopped them long time ago.

God never wanted all these disasters to happen to us, I believe all these disasters are a result of our sin.

But the promise of God to those who believe Him is that there will be no pain and suffering when Jesus comes again and we are with Him in a new heaven :)

My phone fell into the toilet bowl at a public toilet at Lachau, it was repaired for a month. They said they'll repair it for under RM 100, but they charged my dad RM 115. Pfft. And the sound system is still damaged, but my dad says it's permanent already. My phone is scarred forever. :( Just that one *slip* into the ahem, water, and it's sick forever. Never completely healed. Poor phone. AND IT'S NEW OKAY

But I have Jesus so my life rocks. Good thing the phone can still be used. And good thing my dad isn't mad. Well, he was. But not anymore. But he's mad at the phone-shop-keepers for charging us more than what they said they would.

Sooo I wonder what I should do during these few days, without Facebook.

2. Drag mum out to exercise
3. Watch a movie in a foreign language and guess what the movie's about

Since last year, it suddenly hit me -- I'm getting fat. For the past few years, I always ate without thinking much cuz I thought "I won't get fat". Eating without much thought plus I quit ping pong since 13, my body has more fat than it should now. I don't want to be skinny, but I'm..UNHEALTHY, you know, I don't even exercise anymore. So this week has to be Exercise Week! :D

Found myself looking at leng luis on facebook and feeling a little, okay, QUITE inferior cuz they are soooo pretty. Why soooo prettty.. why sooo many likes... *slaps self* Inner beauty is more important! bbb..b..but they are sooo pretty..

That is one of the reasons why I should get myself off facebook. For good.

Okay, may tomorrow be a great day! :D Now I needa go to facebook to do a little something first..

Anyway, I had a great CNY this year. Cuz Sibu is always fun, having lots of food and TV (my grandma's house got taiwan channels, i don't have bah) Lots of food = lots of kompiang and kampua! AHHHH YUMMY.

Every year, my family and I go back to Sibu, we never really have people coming to our house. Just a few lah.

Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor : So, you believe in GOD?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good?

Student : Sure.

Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL?

Student : Yes.

Professor : My Brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

Professor : You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella.

Is GOD Good?

Student : Yes.

Professor : Is Satan good?

Student : No.

Professor : Where does Satan come from?

Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.

Professor : Yes, Faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?

Professor : Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as Cold?

Professor : Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn't...

Student: Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat,

Mega Heat, White Heat, a Little Heat or No Heat.

But we don't have anything called Cold. We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero

which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as Cold.

Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.

We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy.

Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

Student : What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as

Darkness?

Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?

But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its

Professor : So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student : Sir, my point is, your Philosophical Premise is flawed.

Professor : Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue

there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD. You are

viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.

Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought. It uses Electricity and

Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.

To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that

Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.

Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it

Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from

a Monkey?

Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process,

yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at

work and Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor,

are you not teaching your Opinion, Sir? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?

(The Class was in uproar)

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?

(The Class broke out into laughter)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's

brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?...

No one appears to have done so.

So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable

Protocol, Science says that you have No Brain, Sir. With all due respect,

Sir, how do we then trust your lectures, Sir?

The atmosphere is full of CNY air..everyone's doing CNY shopping these days.

Last night my family and I went to an awesome shop called Cha Yi Trading. Well, it's more of a big building/ mini supermarket but it's really really cool so you should check it out! They got food from Taiwan and Singapore so it's one of a kind in Kuching. Angpaus are given as goodies to customers there :D

"Uhhh."

I got stuck there, giving unconfident answers and getting the question directed at me again. Then I dunno how but I managed to blabber some perasan answers that hopefully I will achieve.

I was asked to sing Ibu Pertiwiku, LUCKILY I can memorise that one! Phuhh!

After singing that one, I was asked to sing Ku Ukir Namamu somemore! Bleh. I DIDN'T have a good time singing because singing is one of my worst abilities, oh wait, I have NO ability for that. I tried singing higher but it was so hard, so I switched to a lower pitch but at some point my voice sounded so low, I wasn't even singing.

"Okeh," was the reply.

PHEW

Meh, not bad lah.I saw AT(someone who has the same initials as mine) who was going through the interview before me and he was sing dunno-what-song, AKIMBO. Walao eh. Really "patriotic" huh.

Why did I go for the interview? I'm not really sure. My sis asked me to. I felt like it was something I would "automatically go for". Dunno =\. When asked why I should be chosen to become a prefect, I gave the most cliche answer: "I want to serve the school and gain new experience." The latter part is true. HAHA

I dunno whether I'll do my job well (that is if I get through), cuz there are some rules that I think all students don't really agree on. Still, rules are rules. "Justice"?

So, Maybelle, Merilyn and I auditioned, haha, to become prefects soooo I hope all 3 of us get through! Wheeee!

There has been a great prayer movement on Facebook mostly among the Kuching youth for prayer for a girl's healing. I heard that she had brain infection and had to go through surgery and is in danger for 3 days (I think today is the 2nd day after surgery?) Her name's Lena and she's only 17. Still hopping around last week but on the hospital bed now.

Sarah said about life being short just now. Which makes me think. We can be well right now but on the floor the next second. Life really really is short. Maybe someone was just randomly reading this blog out of boredom and the next second your house might get blown away by the wind and then you might get struck by lightning and you're ---dead------ the next second.

Take for example, the Brisbane floods. Who knows where you are now might just suddenly get flooded and you drown.

I feel like I'm taking life for granted and when I realised I wasted the whole day on Facebook, I go thinking "neverminddd I still have tomorrow and OKAY tomorrow I must do something good like read Melunas Rindu YAYYY" Then the next day I'm wasting my life again. What if you die before you get to read the boring Melunas Rindu? Then. You just disappear like that.

So we all have to do some serious thinking on life...

I'll start with reading God's Word now...

First Week Of School- Check.

Aaaah thank God it's Friday. This week has been OKAY, nothing too bad or too good. Survived and I'm alive. We haven't really started Bio, Physics and Chemistry. Only went into the introductions. Least liked subject so far is.

Sejarah.

Seriously, after experiencing the first week of form 4, I deeply realised that PMR is super super super super super super easy and relaxing. So if you're Form 1 or Form 2 or Form 3, appreciate the time before going into Form 4! The Sejarah now has words splattered all over the pages and all you see is words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words. Sejarah textbooks in Form 1 to Form 3 only have words about HALF of the page.

Signed up for calon pengawas. I dunno why I wanna become pengawas anyway. Ajia asked me to. Personal experience and "serve the school", I guess?

There are some OTHER reasons why students wanna become prefects.

1. The prefects' camp looks fun.

2. The uniform looks nicer than our pinafore.

3. Got more KK marks!

Thank God the whole week has been smooth and I didn't trip or forget to bring my school bag or forget to wear my socks or didn't bring food or didn't bring my water bottle or forgot to wear my school uniform.

Mr. Yap is funny! Hahahahha and MOST of the teachers are all smiley like =D so the class is kind of cheerful. Too bad we don't have Sunny in our class anymore. Sunny is the name of a person, by the way.

Ahhh and I'm enjoying the fact that I'm sitting with my buddies all around me.

Last few moments of 2010

Ah, a year is about to be gone again. 2 hours and 41 minutes to a new year, 2011. This year just went very...normally. Thank God nothing bad happened this year :) This year was pretty much preparation for PMR and wasting time on the computer. Sometimes I really hope the computer never existed so that we don't have to face the temptations of games, MSN, and Facebook.

God please give me strength and determination to overcome the addiction of Facebook. T^T

During the holidays of 2009, I was afraid of PMR but now if I think of it, it's just a piece of cake and nothing to worry about. So to those who are about to sit for PMR, just take it easy, um, not too easily lah. Just take it steadily.

Still, God has blessed me with 8 As this year! Thank youuuuuu God :D

And I have completed my Grade 8 practical exam which means, NO MORE EXAM PIECES AND SCARY PRACTICAL EXAMS! YAY! However I'm ashamed to say I finished Grade 8 cuz I don't know stuff about chords and bla bla bla like Alicia and Hannah who can play freestyle at church.

Hannah says: Freestyle very easy leh! Ooooh you finished Grade 8!
Angeline: Finished grade 8 and I can't do FREESTYLE! T^T

Nevermind I don't wanna talk about that. I won't be continuing with diploma cuz...I think it's enough dy. At least I know how to read notes liao lah(but I depend too much on notes). Enough liao. Diploma very expensive and hard okay?

I joined the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre's Photography Contest, and, thank God again, I got consolation prize.

Saying "thank God" and "thank God" again because God really blesseS my family and I abundantly and His blessings are always beyond expectations. God is good! :D

Ahhh, I hear fireworks from my house now. I'm not making resolutions for 2011, God will do what He wants to do. I really wanna make better use of my time. I wanna learn something new. I'm very good at saying "I wanna learn and do something new", but the next step never comes. *sigh*

I learnt Spanish on the net for half an hour and gave up.

Hmmmm, I got really interested in making bracelets though! I'll look into it. I hope. OK I WILL.

Weird dream.

Last night I had this weird dream that I can only remember fractions of it.

I only remember I was at the airport and I was supposed to go to Sibu alone. Then my mum and I went to the check-in counter and I saw Elene going through the boarding gate and when I saw my boarding pass it said "Singapore".

O.O Then I dunno why I told my mum "No! Why is it a MAS flight to Singapore!? I don't want a connecting flight from Singapore to Sibu, I wanna use AirAsia and go straight to Sibu!"

Okay of course we don't have flights from Singapore to Sibu so it's illogic.

I remember not much of everything else in the dream. I remember seeing the word Gombak on the boarding pass too, which makes EVEN MORE no sense.

Out of boredom I wikipedia-ed AirAsia because I was wondering what AK stands for (super random right) and I found out that Tony Fernandes bought AirAsia for one ringgit.

I just read Matthew 21 which is about the parable of the tenants. I don't really understand it, especially this part:

It was a very tiring trip just GETTING to Hang Zhou.

Hang Zhou was having bad weather when we were about to land there, the airport didn't allow the plane to land. Hence our plane flew to Hong Kong which took 2 hours to refill its tank. We didn't even get off the plane in HK. I only got the chance to look at Hong Kong's AIRPORT through the plane's windows. O.O Then. Guess what, we flew all the way back to KL again. Once we landed in KL, the pilot said "Now we are about the fly back to Hang Zhou." Gah it was a bad experience being sitting in the plane for more than 15 hours. Feels unhealthy.

Ok cut short the unhappy flying experience.

We finally arrived in Hang Zhou!

I tell you, Hang Zhou is a very very beautiful place.

The weather was awesome. 16 C.

Many of the people there drive something that looks like motorbike but runs on rechargeable battery. Save the earth!
The weather was good, but talking about the food there..hmm hmm. The food in every restaurant we went were similar. Fish, tau fu, corn, pau, brinjals, eggs,.. go to China and see for yourself. Eating the same food repeatedly. Bleh.

China was fun! Sometimes it's cold, super troublesome to wear all those layers of clothes. The second I arrived in KL I thought: I love Malaysia's weather.

Well ,that thought only lasted for a few hours..

I went to quite a few places: 杭州，南京，苏州，乌镇，无锡。Only with mum and dad because all the other siblings are not in Malaysia and Amy will be having exams soooo..but I really hoped Amy was there because some places are SOOO pretty and it would be such a great photography opportunity you know! Gahhh you don't understand.

Oh and I hate bargaining in China. It's so crazy they ask for 400 yuan for something that is only worth maybe, 80 yuan. But my family are bad at bargaining so I don't think we made very good bargains.

This blog post is not very informative because I don't know how to summarize everything into this small space but this trip to China was awesome. It's my first trip out of Malaysia except Brunei too. Nice. Now I have a better picture of China in my head.

I feel like a cat trapped in a cage. Dunno what to do.

I think everyone on school holiday is feeling bored. Karen is bored till she's on a gossip site. Rene and I are bored till we're talking about photoshopping our faces to become like ah liens.

This morning I saw 3 to 4 tiny red birds in the garden and a few black ones with yellow beaks and some brown ones so I tried taking pictures of them but didn't really succeed.

I was aiming to capture a closer shot, but when I tried it flew away.

I saw some really cool Youtube videos of people using their nails as a canvas and just..painting cool art on them..USING TOOTHPICKS! I thought it was really cool so I asked Yuan Hui and Maybelle over to do a little nail-painting! I didn't have any toothpicks at home so I used satay sticks instead.

We really felt like ah-liens but hey it's like a first-time experience for me! My right hand's fingers look bad now so I'm not posting the pictures. The picture above shows the nail design by Yuan Hui (C)2010 Turned out that the design made by Yuan Hui was even better than the design on my right hand which we actually followed a video's tutorial.

Soooo it was kinda cool to do something different :D

School holidays have officially started but I don't really know what to do.

What I did so far:

1. Swam with Maybelle and Merilyn

2. Worked at a cafe for 2 weeks

3. Applied for another work but didn't receive any calls from them

4. Met up with Xin Tian

5. Tried nail designs using satay sticks

6. DIDN'T do lots of piano practice

Okay since I think, maybe, perhaps, 90% somewhat sure I'm taking chinese next year, (*phuh!*) I really need to brush up my mandarin so I'm heading to the school library later to grab some mandarin books.

Guys, appreciate your holidays and stop your Facebook-ing. (yeah that message is for me)

Especially Form 3s cuz Form 4 will be a gap from Form 3 so we'll needa work hard next year and then during next year's holidays we'll be studying for SPM already. Therefore this is the BEST TIME to relax and have fun and do something GOOD besides sitting here and reading this

Went to stay at Lundu over the weekend with Yuan Hui's family and Merilyn! I always thought of Lundu as a really ulu, rural place but now I know that it actually has a few resorts and the one we stayed at was called Retreat.

YAY FOR CHLORINE

Was waiting for Yuan's Hui mum to check in so I did a little canonookering.

Then we went up to our 208 room.

hehehehe then we had cup noodles for supper! Cup Noodles Mission achieved.

Noises from those two humans woke me up in the morning.

It was FOUR a.m. Who in the right mind wakes up at 4?! So. Three of us were wide awake at FOUR. Couldn't get back to sleep already, so we went to play with sand at FIVE a.m. We sure are siao.

Played, played, played till it was bright.

Aaah..beautiful. God is an amazing artist.

After breakfast, we went to hit the waves again!

We didn't do much besides swimming and having some beach fun since we only stayed for a night. But still it's a great time with my two friends. We would've even more fun if the others tagged along..-____- They didn't come because they don't wanna get drowned. What an excuse?

1. Please don't whistle or call us ahmoi to get our attention. Can you just politely raise your hand? Okay lah ahmoi is acceptably acceptable because that's the only thing they can call you. Fine fine.

2. Please don't gimme that >( face

3. When we take your order, please clearly state what you want. When we can't hear what you say, we have to ask you again. And when we ask you again, you get annoyed. See? Lose-lose situation.

4. When we give you the wrong order, please just accept the drink lah. You didn't say properly mah! :D

5. Smile!

6. Say thank you when we deliver your order. We really appreciate it.

So, I started my first working experience at a cafe somewhere. It has been tiring but it IS, good experience.

Even though I'm only going to work for 2 weeks, yet I feel like it's going to feel like FOREVER.

Today was my fourth day, and you DO NOT know how happy I am to be able to have a break for the weekends. PHEW

I have to wake up at 6 every morning and leave at 6:15 a.m. SIX FIFTEEN OKAY

Even your parents don't start work that early!?

So, it has been quite fun walking around and taking orders from people. I'm working as a waitress.

And I TELL YOU, I'll ADMIT IT, waiters and waitresses are NOT very hygienic.

I mean, why would we care to be hygienic to your drinks? We're not the ones drinking them right? This is my conclusion from experiencing the mind of a waitress.

You can see people from all walks of life at the cafe.

There are..

A group of custom officers (even though I keep thinking they're police)

Security guards

A jolly blind man called John

Supermarket workers

Salesmen

Retired people who sit at the cafe for hours

Men with long hair

This is one good experience:

I walk to the visually impaired man, asking him what he wants to drink. He faces me (even though he can't see). He says in a loud voice: Teh O! I take his order, and tells the bartender that it is John's order. Why do I have to inform the bartender? Because the bartender would put more sugar in his Teh O, since he can't add more sugar by himself. YOU WOULD'NT THINK OF THAT RIGHT? Wow. As I collect money from John, he would take out his wallet and hand out coins from the wallet's pocket he knows well. The aunty I'm working for would hand him the change INTO his palm, if you get what I mean.

I made quite a few mistakes, dropping chopsticks on customers, giving two customers Kopi O Peng when they want Teh O Peng, speaking Malay to a man who speaks Mandarin, and saying the wrong price to a REGULAR customer. Fortunately Aunty and the customers weren't mad. Phew. Wow, come to think of it, I haven't even met ONE haughty customer! God is good.

There are peak hours at the cafe too. 7 a.m and 12:30 p.m. Around those two times are the times office-people come for their breakfast or lunch breaks.

Other times, I guess the customers are lazy people who are supposed to be at work and retired people who sit and chat for HOURS.

Oh yeah, I even sold cigarettes >) There's LA, Winston, and Park Way (which I kept hearing as Pak Weh) There's one annoying customer in an orange shirt so I call him the Annoying Orange.

It's a really good experience working illegally (I'm not supposed to work, I think) even though I'm tired and I want to quit work any moment. I'll just spend my time away at the cafe rather than Facebooking then. I have 5 more days to go! :D

And. My face, my clothes, and my hair are coated with cigarette smoke. That's one part of working that I hate a lot. GAH when I breathe I even feel like a smoker now. There's smoke in my breath. My throat is dry. My tongue is dry. My lungs are black. DON'T YOU EVER SMOKE

Today my school had our prize-giving ceremony and the microphones kept on having technical problems (I dunno whether it's the mics or the person-in-charge).

When the technical problems kept occuring, the emcee said

HAHA seemed like her microphone had something wrong as well.

Sunburnt

I am sunburnt! Maybelle, Merilyn and I went to our long-planned swim yesterday morning. It was all aaah perfect weather until 10+ am,the sun came out and obviously.. we got burnt.

GAH now I'm all red and it's my first time getting sunburnt! T^T I think I'm losing my fairness that Yuan Hui adores! BOOHOO.

My hands and legs are good already but my shoulders are still RED. RED like RED. PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN and I dunno what lotion to apply PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN

I can feel the heat under my shirt now.

I figure getting a sunburn is like getting yourself cooked. Hmmm now we know how to survive on a deserted island. Cook your friend.

I remember having a Facebook ban on myself for a week, and it really helped me to realise that Facebook is wasting our time if we kept logging on to it even though there's nothing new.

But now I'm addicted to it again even though..I have no notifications.SO LAME AND A WASTE OF TIME

One day I told God "Okay I want to go to Facebook only ONCE a day if possible"

Yesterday I went to Facebook but

NOTHING WOULD COME OUT. All of the other websites worked as usual (see, I'm blogging now) but Facebook is the only thing that isn't loading! It loads the blue bar up there, but the Home Page doesn't come out and I can't read messages.

..and I went to Facebook a lot more than once.

Maybe this is God's way of helping me overcome my addiction.

And I appreciate it.

English isn't my first language.

It never was.

My parents told me that when I was young I started with Foochow.

Then after I went to Lodge Kindy, I switched to English.

I went to a Chinese primary school. On the first day of school, it was hard for me to communicate because not many people could communicate with me. My first best friend was the only girl who could speak English. Her name's Tiffany, she transferred to another school and I dunno where she is now.

Then..I think when I was in Primary 2, I started speaking Mandarin regularly..until now.

I speak Mandarin everyday. Most of my friends at school speak Mandarin to me. The only times I speak English are

1. Youth

2. Church

3. At home when you can't say everything in Mandarin. Like, I always say "brinjals","cucumbers","reference books", "internet" in English. I don't think I even know what cucumbers are called in Mandarin.

That's why I'm not 100% fluent when I speak English. Sometimes I have to pause for a moment to think of words.

But I'm 100% happy my parents sent me to a Chinese primary school because I don't wanna be a banana :D

YAY 我会讲华语！

And I'm very glad because I have a mixture of friends who always speak Mandarin, and friends who speak English. That means they are educated differently and have different point of views, ways of thinking. Seriously, if you think you're a total banana, and you study for a day at my school, you'll get culture shock.

I'm 100% glad to mix with both groups, as they have totally different personalities. Sometimes I can't explain some things in English as well. Some situations can only be explained in..Chinese idioms, for example.

So..kudos to my parents for giving my siblings and I 2 types of education :))) They're both great in their own way.

Everything went too fast that I keep on forgetting that PMR is over.

I'm just so not used to having PMR over. Many things remind of the things we learn for PMR.

For example. Today I passed by a shop selling motorbikes and the word MODENAS was on the outside of the shop. Guess the first thing that came to my mind? MODENAS factories are in Gurun and Serendah. -______-

I hope I don't forget all of the facts I learnt for PMR. I mean, I spent three years compiling all those facts in my brain lahhh.

One night after PMR I even dreamt that the invigilator reported me because I flipped the exam pages before we were supposed to open it. IT WAS REALLY SCARY :(

Day 1: Bahasa Malaysia Paper 1 & 2.

Paper 1 was hard. Sometimes I looked at the question for such a long time that I didn't know what I was reading already. For example, the word sehalus. Sehalus,okay, sehalus,uh huh, sehalus, sehalus........wait what's sehalus!? It's like you just don't have that word in your brain anymore.

Paper 2 was okay, but I think I did it too carefully that there wasn't much time left for the latter sections. After the whistle sounded, I was still finishing my last sentence of Bahagian D. Therefore no time to check. But I'm happy BM papers are over! YAYYYYY I DON'T CARE ABOUT IT LIAO

The examination atmosphere definitely WASN'T in my room. After the teacher collected the papers, we were supposed to "leave the room quietly"( as said by Aunty Fong) but we were all discussing in the classroom before leaving. XD The invigilator didn't seem to mind.

Hmm I'll see if I can update this PMR diary every day.

So far so good.

English and Geography tomorrow.WAIT is it "everyday" or "every day"!?

Day 2: English Paper 1 & 2, Geography

We were hard time discussing about essay formats and in the end Section A required writing a story. A story about Rahim who found a bag full of money and brought it to the police station and was late for school bla bla bla..typical Primary school essay. Paper 1 was okay.

And Geo was easy! My teacher checked it for me already and I got 1 wrong. :D

Day 3: Science Paper 1 & 2, Sejarah

Science Paper 1 was good, but Paper 2 was harder. Sejarah was counted as easy but some questions were confusing to me. I just forgot some of the facts. Gah.

Day 4: Maths Paper 1 & 2, ERT

Math was good. ERT was somewhere between hard and easy.

NOT FAIR! They are all having fun already! I still have Chinese tomorrow! The subject I dread the most T^T TOMORROWWWWWW

Day 5: Chinese

Thank God I could write the essay.

Muahaha, I'm making full use of Alvin's iPod while he's not around. Actually he won't mind one lah. But nevermind, he will never know because he doesn't read my blog :D But when he's back I'm sure I still wanna listen to it T^T I just realised iPods rock.

The nearer I get to PMR, the less nervous I get. Then maybe all the nervousness will strike on the first day of PMR. I hope not.

Cikgu Chai said we should just relax now already since we can't do last minute preparations for PMR so I'm chilling out now. Lalalalalala

When the workbooks give a lot of wrong answers. More than I can accept. Someone please send a complaint to the Workbooks' Publishers Association (if there's such a thing -___-) to bring up to them the plight of the students who are "hardworking" *AHEM* and do lots of workbooks but don't fully benefit from the workbooks.

Workbooks say "jawapan tepat disediakan" (accurate answers provided) but they keep giving stupid answers which are obviously impossible. In the end, we cannot trust the answers given by the workbook even if we're really unsure of the correct answer. Some questions are KBKK and cannot be found in the textbooks. I HATE IT I HATE IT

One day I did a PMR past year paper and it said "jawapan tepat disediakan oleh guru pengalaman" (accurate answers provided by experieced teachers) but I found a question that gave a wrong answer. Ok if a student lost his/her textbook a day before PMR and reads the past year paper and trusts the answer given and stores the INFORMATION in his/her brain and then the PMR paper on the next day asks a question related to it? Then they are DOOMED. Okay not doomed but one question can also affect your results right?

Aiiiiih I talk so much also no use. I'll just read whatever I can. I bring the doubtful questions to my teachers but sometimes they also can't answer.

Maybelle it's not in my house lah!

After 2 weeks of holidays, I must admit I missed school because I missed my Doris,Merilyn,Lydia,Chong Yuan and my sugar pie Amelia.

But now I don't miss them already because I saw them at school :D

School was okay, teachers were already in PMR mode but we were still in holiday mode. Hahaha.

Aunty Fong came in to give us some "motivation" bla bla bla..

I think I'm cool with PMR so far.

Today I accidentally squished an ant with a pencil. Okay, I purposely rolled a pencil over it, but I didn't mean to kill it deliberately. WORST, my vegetarian friend Chong Yuan was beside me. I FORGOT. Got a little "why are you so mean" lecture from her. By the way, it didn't die! It just got a little curled up.

I said SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY (and then she got reminded of that Korean song)

She said "Don't say sorry to me, say sorry to the ant!"

So I looked at the ant and said sorry.

I was all so jolly when my score was around 56, 57, 58/60 when I was doing Sejarah's past year papers and then when I did the forecast paper I got 43/60. How encouraging.

Now.......what.

It's 10:20 am, 4th of September, the last year of the first decade of the 21st century.

Hello humans. Oh hi there kitty.

PMR is in..how many days I don't know. Oh well it will come and it will go.

Now I have two weeks of holiday.

I feel numb.

People always see me as Angeline who always smiles like

I'm wondering whether I LIKE that.

Happy people also need some time to be..normal?

It's crazy to smile 24/7.

I will stop using Facebook these days. Waste of time.

I have to think before I speak. Or type.

Think think think think think and USE YOUR BLAIN.

I think I have put my priorities in the wrong place.

Things have still been the same. Gerak Gempur 2 is over, and I have..how many days to PMR? Never looked at the countdown board at school anyway.

Hmmm there is a question that I know that a lot of people have been wondering and pondering about:

Why did God allow evil in this world? Why would He let disasters happen if He was "good"?

I googled it and I found this opinion that might answer to your doubts.

"Why does God allow earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, typhoons, cyclones, mudslides, and other natural disasters? Tragedies such as the 2004 tsunami in Asia, Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the 2008 cyclone in Myanmar, and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti cause many people to question God’s goodness. It is distressing that natural disasters are often termed “acts of God” while no “credit” is given to God for years, decades, or even centuries of peaceful weather. God created the whole universe and the laws of nature (Genesis 1:1). Most natural disasters are a result of these laws at work. Hurricanes, typhoons, and tornados are the results of divergent weather patterns colliding. Earthquakes are the result of the earth’s plate structure shifting. A tsunami is caused by an underwater earthquake.

The Bible proclaims that Jesus Christ holds all of nature together (Colossians 1:16-17). Could God prevent natural disasters? Absolutely! Does God sometimes influence the weather? The book of Revelation describes many events which could definitely be described as natural disasters (Revelation chapters 6, 8, and 16). Is every natural disaster a punishment from God? Absolutely not.

In much the same way that God allows evil people to commit evil acts, God allows the earth to reflect the consequences sin has had on creation. Romans 8:19-21 tells us, “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.” The fall of humanity into sin had effects on everything, including the world we inhabit. Everything in creation is subject to “frustration” and “decay.” Sin is the ultimate cause of natural disasters just as it is the cause of death, disease, and suffering.

We can understand why natural disasters occur. What we do not understand is why God allows them to occur. Why did God allow the tsunami to kill over 225,000 people in Asia? Why did God allow Hurricane Katrina to destroy the homes of thousands of people? For one thing, such events shake our confidence in this life and force us to think about eternity. Churches are usually filled after disasters as people realize how tenuous their lives really are and how life can be taken away in an instant. What we do know is this: God is good! Many amazing miracles occurred during the course of natural disasters that prevented even greater loss of life. Natural disasters cause millions of people to reevaluate their priorities in life. Hundreds of millions of dollars in aid is sent to help the people who are suffering. Christian ministries have the opportunity to help, minister, counsel, pray, and lead people to saving faith in Christ! God can, and does, bring great good out of terrible tragedies (Romans 8:28)."

I do not think I am spiritually mature enough to answer this question truthfully and rightfully, but I do have an opinion.

I think God created this world to be perfect in the first place, and He created Adam and Eve pure. But men chose to sin when Adam and Eve succumbed to temptation and ate that fruit when God said no. I think sin is what brought all these evil doings on earth. The punishment of sin is death but God gave us another chance and sent His son Jesus to die for our sins and to take our punishment, He gave us that free ticket to Heaven to be with Him if we chose to follow Him.

Sometimes, suffering might not be a bad thing. See how Nick Vujicic lost his arms and legs. But that was how he got to know more about God and see how good He is. When you experience the unfailing love and grace of God, and put your focus on God, all the suffering and pain will appear strangely dim.

I like how Uncle Yap said something "When we are in pain and sickness, that is when we lie on the bed and look up to God" So sometimes it is pain that allows us to see how good God is.

I cannot say I understand God. No one fully understands God. The love that we experience of Him is only a tiny fraction of the whole quarter of His love.

This is truly something worth to ponder upon.

The sun is there during day light to dry your clothes.

The moon is there at night to provide just sufficient light so that it's not totally dark.

2. The lungs contain over 300,000 million capillaries (tiny blood vessels). If they were laid end to end, they would stretch 2400km (1500 miles).
3. A mans testicles manufacture 10 million new sperm cells each day – enough that he could repopulate the entire planet in only 6 months! (uhhhh God, I think this is more than enough xD)
4. Human bone is as strong as granite in supporting weight. A block of bone the size of a matchbox can support 9 tonnes – that is four times as much as concrete can support.

Life is like the title. Bleh.

I've been feeling very ----------------------------------------------

My heart feels like it's been beating the same rhythm for a long time. Nothing special has happened, nothing exciting has happened, nothing bad has happened (phew!)..is that supposed to be a good thing? Merilyn says it is.

Okay, I think it IS a good thing. But bleh.

Gerak Gempur is coming in less than 2 weeks. I've been taking it easy.

I don't stress myself, and I'm planning to watch Glee tonight and study during the commercial breaks. What a great plan.

My mum has been playing Zuma over again for the 3rd time,

The living room's curtains had gone through a fabulous make over,

I still haven't got myself a watch,

My neighbour's cats are still making those annoying meowing sounds,

The towel's still on my head,

The washing machine's still rumbling,

The fan's still blowing,

I'm still blogging,

I think I've gone a little too far.
